Mississippi Animal Project was founded by a small group of friends who share a deep love for animals and a commitment to making a difference in our home state. With more than 18 years of combined experience in animal rescue, we are bringing our knowledge, compassion, and dedication together to serve Mississippi’s animals—especially those in rural and underserved communities.
Rooted in the Magnolia State, our mission is simple: to rescue, heal, and create brighter futures for animals in need. As we grow, we are building programs focused on medical care, spay and neuter access, safe shelter, and pathways to loving homes. Each step forward is guided by our belief that every animal deserves dignity, safety, and a second chance.
We are also proud to work alongside fellow rescues and animal welfare organizations across Mississippi. Collaboration strengthens our impact, and together we can reach more animals than any one group could alone.
Mississippi Animal Project is powered by heart, hard work, and community. We are moms, professionals, and animal advocates balancing families and full-time jobs—but our shared purpose keeps us moving forward.
